Antioch California Information
Antioch is located on the banks of the San Joaquin River just off Highway 4 in Contra Costa County. The city has a population of over 100,000 people and has grown into the largest city in the eastern half of the county.
Antioch persists as a somewhat preserved and undeveloped region compared to the rest of the Bay Area. Land still remains bountiful and particularily affordable. The city has naturally become the affordable housing district for the area, rather than as a suburban planning progam, which has allowed the city avoid the stigma of being the 'affordable housing' district. Antioch real estate can be as much as 20 to 30 percent cheaper than in the rest of Contra Costa County. Every style of home is spread throughout the city, including condominiums, low cost apartments, and single family homes.
