El Sobrante California Information
El Sobrante is a quiet town with a country feeling, as they say. Located just 15 minutes away from the Bay Bridge toll plaza and another few minutes from San Francisco, the city manages to maintain the quaint atmosphere of a suburb while avoiding the cool mornings and evening fogs of the Bay area.
El Sobrante is located near the San Pablo Reservoir and provides access to activities such as fishing and hiking in the nearby Tilden Park. All schools are located in the West Contra Costa Unified School District, but also includes several private schools. The town contains many older, unincorporated neighborhoods ranging from typical ranch style houses to horse and stable properties.
