Hercules California Information
Hercules is a small suburb of the San Francisco-Oakland metro area in Contra Costa County. The estimated population in 2003 was 21,602. Most residents come from an upper middle class society, with a median income of $75,000 per year, and most are commuters working in San Francisco, which is only minutes away down the I-80 corridor.
Hercules is in the West Contra Costa Unified School District, containing a half dozen elementary schools, one middle/high school and one high school. The city also offers an abundance of open space and nature, with trails throughout the community providing great views of wildlife and an impressive view of the San Francisco Bay.
