Lafayette California Information
Lafayette is located in Contra Costa County. The town was named after the famous "Gilbert du Motier de La Fayette" of France who fought alongside the fledgling Americans during the Revolutionary War. As a wealthy Marquis (French lord), he used hundreds of thousands of dollars of his own money to fund the revolutionary case.
